The Sports Kings: Hawks Win In Blowout!!!

A little motivation is all it takes…

Just one day after the Hawks 90-76 loss to the 76ers and head coach Larry Drew’s stated that “It got tough for us and we quit.” His team responded in a major way by defeating the Cleveland Cavs 121-94.

In the words of Charles Barkley “The Cavs are turrrible!”

After about 6 or 7 minutes into the 3rd quarter this game became very and I do mean very hard to watch.

I completely understand that Cleveland is a young team but to suffer a 39 point loss to a Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls Friday night and the very next night to lose by 27 is just embarrassing and I can only wonder how long Cavs head coach Byron Scott will continue to serve in his current capacity.

Despite losing their last two it’s not all bad for the Cavs…

As I was watching the rookie Kyrie Irving last night I kept screaming at him through the television to take over the game for Cleveland. Somebody needs to get in his ear and tell him that “he’s that dude”.  Irving scored 18 points hitting 8-of-10 from the field to lead the Cavaliers, who have lost three straight and six of eight.

As Joe goes so do the Hawks…

Friday night Joe Johnson only managed to score 8 points versus the 76ers but last night he came out and took advantage of the lowly Cavs scoring 25 points (19 of those in the 1st half) in the Hawks victory.

The Hawks kickoff a 5 game road trip tomorrow in Milwaukee, they return to Philips Arena February 2nd versus the Grizzlies.
